Shared racehorse ownership provides an affordable route into owning a racehorse. This is where the training and racing fees as well as success and any prize money won is shared between a group of people. We have several shared ownership options at Emma Lavelle Racing to suit a range of requirements and budget.
In addition to running our own Bonita Racing Club, you may wish to consider joining a commercially organised shared racehorse ownership entity. The below organisation’s all have horses in training with us and offer another option to enter ownership via Emma Lavelle Racing.

Racehorse ownership is open to everyone and we welcome anyone to the yard who is considering owning a racehorse or part of one.
We can arrange small group visits to Bonita Racing Stables, where you will be able to experience life as a racehorse owner. This will include watching the racehorses on our breath-taking gallops, a tour of state of the art facilities at the historic Bonita Racing Stables, meeting with existing owners involved with our stable as well as the team at Emma Lavelle Racing.

BONITA RACING CLUB – Share the fun, split the cost!
The Bonita Racing Club offers an interest in three jumps horses in training with Cheltenham Festival winning trainer Emma Lavelle. The club is successful, social, and friendly and provides plenty of opportunities to go to the races and support the horses and experience the benefits of racehorse ownership.
Bonita Racing Club horses:
- What A Hoot (2014 b mare by Presenting ex Flying Iris)
What A Hoot is unraced and is from the family of Best Mate – three times winner of the Gold Cup. She also goes very well, and we are excited about her future and will be ready to run in her first bumper in November 2018.
- Freedom Run (2013 ch mare by Presenting ex Mathine)
Freedom Run has finished second and fourth in bumpers and will now embark a novice hurdling campaign. She comes from the family of Long Run, former winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and is a mare with plenty of potential.
- Misty Bloom (2013 b mare by Yeats ex Misty Mountain)
Misty made a very promising winning seasonal debut over hurdles in early November, and then followed up quickly with another win just ten days later, and we are looking forward to an fun and exciting season ahead with her.

One-off all-inclusive for one year. Multiple shares are available to buy, with 40 shares within the club. The term of membership is for one year and can be renewed on an annual basis.
