Name: Lucy Adams

Role: Joint Head Girl at Emma Lavelle Racing

DOB: 17/12/95

From: Stratton Audley, Oxfordshire

Worked in racing since: 2014.  I worked previously for trainer Alex Hales Racing and also for David Barker managing their hunters.

How did you get into racing: I’ve ridden ponies/horses since a child and competed in Pony Club.  Both my parents are horsey and my dad used to help train point-to-pointers, my best friend was also really into the sport which also got me interested.

Career highlight to date:  Taking Junction Fourteen over to Ireland to race in the Galway Plate.

Role model:  David Annett ‘Bodge’, who used to be Alex Hales’s head lad.  I try to live up to how he ran the yard and his outlook on life.

My three dinner guests would be: Prince Harry (even though he is now sadly taken!), Sam Thompson and William Fox-Pitt.

When not racing/working: I relax by enjoying a glass of wine and reading trashy magazines!
